Institute Spotlight: Sports Marketing 🏆📣

This summer, our Sports Marketing Institute students got behind the scenes to explore the business, creativity, and strategy that power the sports industry.

Throughout the week, students dove into sports branding, partnerships, promotions, fan engagement, sales, public relations, and social media. They heard from industry leaders, explored career opportunities across the sports world, worked together to create marketing strategies, and put their ideas to the test with a final team presentation.

Led by Academic Leader Ted Tseng, students discovered that there’s so much more to sports than what happens on the field—and that a career in sports can take you in more directions than you might think.

Institute Spotlight: Screenwriting 🎬✍️

This summer, our Screenwriting Institute students put their stories on the page and their creativity to work.

Throughout the week, students explored storytelling, screenplay structure, character development, genre, tone, and editing while learning what goes into creating scripts for film, television, and more. They analyzed different storytelling styles, learned industry-standard screenwriting software, shared their work with classmates, and created original screenplays of their own.

Led by Academic Leader Holly Swenson, students learned that bringing a story to life takes creativity, collaboration, plenty of editing, and a willingness to keep writing.

Institute Spotlight: Policy & Politics 🏛️🗳️

This summer, our Policy & Politics Institute students got an inside look at how policies are shaped, debated, and put into action.

Throughout the week, students explored American democracy, international politics, political parties, polarization, and the power citizens have to create change. They analyzed political messaging, debated current domestic and foreign policy issues, connected with leaders working in law and government, and put their ideas into action by developing their own public policy proposals.

Led by Academic Leader Dr. Michael Callaghan Pisapia, the institute challenged students to think critically, listen to different perspectives, and practice the art of persuasion while discovering what it means to be an engaged citizen.

Institute Spotlight: Neuroscience 🧠🔬

This summer, our Neuroscience Institute students took a deep dive into the science behind how we think, learn, behave, and experience the world around us.

Throughout the week, students explored neuroanatomy, neurobiology, behavioral neuroscience, neuropharmacology, and more. They got hands-on with a sheep brain dissection, observed electrophysiological experiments, explored neuroimaging, visited neuroscience research labs, and developed their own neuroscience poster projects.

Led by Academic Leaders Dr. Anthony Sali and Dr. Katie Holleran, students experienced what it’s like to study the brain through the eyes of a neuroscientist while discovering just how much there is still left to learn.

Institute Spotlight: Law ⚖️📚

This summer, our Law Institute students got an inside look at what it’s really like to pursue a career in law.

Throughout the week, students explored everything from civil and criminal litigation to family law, the judicial system, negotiations, and legal ethics. Through case studies, hands-on exercises, a 1L law class, and conversations with law students and practicing attorneys, they learned that being a lawyer is about more than knowing the law—it’s about critical thinking, communication, advocacy, and problem-solving.

Led by Academic Leader Deja Kemp, students were challenged to ask questions, consider different perspectives, and discover the many paths a career in law can take.

Institute Spotlight: Finance & Investing 📈💰

This summer, our Finance & Investing Institute students learned what it takes to make smart moves in the world of finance.

Throughout the week, students explored the stock market, investment strategies, financial analysis, risk and return, and the power of compounding. They put their knowledge to the test through hands-on activities, built investment portfolios, visited a financial institution and trading floor, and competed in a mock investment competition.

Led by Academic Leader Mike Crespi, the institute gave students the chance to learn from faculty and financial professionals while exploring the many careers the industry has to offer.

By the end of the week, they walked away with new skills, new perspectives, and a head start on understanding the world of finance.

Institute Spotlight: Entrepreneurship 💡🚀

This summer, our Entrepreneurship Institute students took their ideas from concept to reality.

Throughout the week, students explored entrepreneurial ideation, marketing, financial modeling, prototyping, and concept development while learning what it takes to build a start-up. They connected with entrepreneurs and industry leaders, learned how to create a pitch deck, and put their skills to the test in a hands-on start-up competition.

Led by Academic Leader Louis Foreman, the institute encouraged students to think creatively, take risks, and embrace the resilience that comes with entrepreneurship. By the end of the week, they walked away with new skills, new ideas, and a glimpse into what it takes to bring a business to life.
