Wake Forest Pre-College Programs are designed for high school students to experience academic rigor, dynamic learning and enriching social interactions in a supportive college environment. All of our programs are meant for enrichment and are not-for-credit, meaning students don’t have the pressure of formal grades.

Institute Spotlight: Regenerative Medicine 🧬
Last week, students in our Regenerative Medicine Institute explored one of the most exciting frontiers in healthcare, discovering how science and engineering are transforming the future of medicine.
Through hands-on labs, tissue engineering challenges, and experiences with researchers at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), students explored topics including stem cells, biomaterials, 3D bioprinting, artificial intelligence, and regenerative medicine. They gained firsthand insight into how these groundbreaking technologies are advancing patient care and improving lives.

Institute Spotlight: Leadership 🌟
This summer, our Leadership Institute students stepped outside their comfort zones and discovered what it really means to lead with purpose.
Throughout their time at Wake Forest, students took part in hands-on workshops, team-building challenges, community service, and conversations with professionals who shared what leadership looks like in the real world. They explored topics like personal branding, communication, resilience, self-awareness, cultural awareness, and building strong teams—all while learning more about their own strengths and leadership styles.
Led by Academic Leader Marcus Sanderlin, the institute challenged students to grow as leaders by first understanding themselves. By the end of the week, they walked away with new confidence, valuable connections, and leadership skills they’ll carry with them long after leaving Wake Forest.
