Wake Forest Pre-College Programs are designed for high school students to experience academic rigor, dynamic learning and enriching social interactions in a supportive college environment. All of our programs are meant for enrichment and are not-for-credit, meaning students don’t have the pressure of formal grades.

We want to make sure you get your first-choice Summer Immersion Institute! At this point, many of our most popular Institutes have waitlists, but there are still plenty of spots at other amazing Institutes left.
Check the second slide for a look at what’s still open. If you see a star (⭐️) that program is already 60% full—so move fast!

Neither snow nor ice kept our LAUNCH Scholars from their session last weekend. ❄️
Though we had to pivot to a virtual format, the group spent the morning learning from the Wake Forest Departments of Physics and Engineering. A big thank you to the faculty for sharing their time and expertise with our scholars!

Diego, a student from our Engineering Institute, shares his key takeaways from the program:
"My experience at the Summer Immersion Program at Wake Forest University was one that I will remember forever. Going into my first day on Sunday, I felt nervous because I would have been leaving my parents and going to be a college student for a week learning about engineering. But this anxious feeling only lasted 10 minutes after I stepped foot on campus. As soon as I left my parents and said goodbye to them, I met wonderful people in the engineering Institute, which I can to this day call comfortably my friends. This summer immersion program gave me a new realization about engineering and how College looks like for students… I am really thankful to Wake Forest for this program that gives us all a clear idea of what I had always been dreaming about my entire life, attending college."
During his time on campus, Diego explored real-world research at Wake Downtown, met with NASCAR engineering experts, and learned the value of "testing to failure" during hands-on design challenges.
